Bruises, Cuts and Scrapes 

To heal bruises quickly, use 1-3 grams of tien chi root twice per day.  This even helps speed up healing from surgical wounds or traumatic injury.  If you tend to bruise easily, increase your intake of fruits rich in bioflavonoids and Vitamin C. 

With cuts and scrapes, gotu kola tincture can also help heal the skin.  Use 35-45 drops twice per day for as long as needed.  Other useful topical treatments include plantain leaf (from your yard), comfrey ointment or aloe vera gel.  These herbs can also help relieve sunburn.
